On Friday, 27th November 2015 LIC International and 104.2 Your FM had jointly organized “RJ Junior of the Day” Felicitation function at Adhari Park. 104 students were invited along with their parents to receive their certificates for their participation in “RJ Junior of the Day” segment. Mr. Rajesh Kandwal, CEO & Managing Director – LIC International and Mr. Kailash Ezhuvath, CEO & Director – Your FM were present at the event as the Chief Guests. LIC International was also represented by the Mr. Partha Samal, General Manager who addressed all the students and parents informing them about the various offerings from LIC International in Bahrain.
LIC International RJ Junior of the Day puts forth a very simple idea: to get children (between 8 to 12 years) to go on-air in a pre-produced segment where they narrate a story and also explain a moral value with it. This segment has proven to be a platform to test the child’s oratory skills and also enjoy a day’s celebrity status in their peer group.
LIC International RJ Junior of the Day is played 5 times-a-week (Sunday to Thursday) at 6.45am, 1.30pm and 7.15pm.
During the event, there was also an announcement that was cheered by everyone present in the hall – in the coming days, LIC International and 104.2 Your FM will be hosting a RJ Junior Club in Bahrain, a first of its kind in Bahrain. This would be a competition held once a year providing an opportunity for children to hone their skills as a Radio Host
